We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Each and every member of the staff we encountered was so very nice and very helpful. They really make the place the gem that it is. The grounds are really beautiful and well-maintained and who knew that watching a couple of dozen chickens could be so entertaining. The food at both the breakfasts and the five-course dinner was exceptional. Hats off to Chef Smith and the entire kitchen crew for a real gourmet experience.

We found this bed and breakfast on line, looking for one within a short distance and with great reviews. Glen Gordon Manor did not disappoint. The 45 acre property was lovely, with a fabulous restoration of the main building and two outbuildings, as well as a lovely pool. The gourmet breakfast was lovely, the pool empty for our personal use, the room we had extremely large and well appointed, and the staff uniformly friendly and helpful. The chickens and rabbits and mustang on the property only added to the pleasant vistas. The morning coffee delivered to our door at the appointed hour was an added bonus. Absolutely lovely! We will return.

Like visiting a highland country lodge. Every thing is done to perfection. Exquisitely comfortable rooms. Amazing food. The fixed price dinner with wine overlooking the farm and mountains is both delicious, creative and beautifully played. Staff is friendly and helpful. We will definitely return for the Fall colors.

Beautiful property and house. There was no way not to absorb the peaceful atmosphere that has been created here. The bed was super comfortable but more regular pillows for sleeping would have been nice. Not enough light in any room in the building to read a book like i had hoped to. They have some board games in a closet if you wish to play. There was supposed to be a sound system for your room but the staff was unable to get it to work for us the first day and no one looked into it after that. Breakfast was good and care was clearly given to the presentation. We did not have dinner on the property but it did smell divine while they were cooking. There was some areas outside to sit but no obvious lighting by the gazebo and no one told us if we could/should light the firepit in the other area. We walked the property and saw the horses and chickens. Everything seemed clean and well kept.

Beautiful grounds and main lodge. Stayed in the Gordon Suite which was in a building separate from the main lodge, and beautiful. Gorgeous furnishings and décor, dimmers on all lights, nice porch area although not very private. The sink took forever to have hot water and drained slowly—best to turn on hot water in the tub to get it going. They serve an excellent breakfast and bring coffee to the room. Unfortunately they need to provide Nespresso or similar machines to make it easier to have coffee when you want it, especially for this caliber of lodging. Easy access to Washington and Sperryville for dining which we did as we were unable to book their restaurant for dinner. But Patty O’s and Three Blacksmiths are 2 restaurants not to be missed, and an easy drive. Also don’t miss Luray Caves—spectacular, and near to the hotel. The hotel is easy to access from DC, and Monticello.

Upon arrival we enjoyed a wonderful greeting and tour from Hayden. The property was everything we were looking for in a getaway stay. All of the staff throughout our stay made us feel very welcome. The dining experience was fantastic. I'm not sure I will ever order duck again unless Chef Dane is in the kitchen and the dining staff for the evening made sure we were taken care of. Thanks again to Michelle for the breakfast prior to our departure. We cant wait to come back !!!

The service and food were first class all the way. Each of the staff members we encountered were friendly and welcoming. The Chef prepared. Five course tasting menu that rivals the finest Retaurants in the country. Would recommend a stay here.
